Intrinsic homological algebra for triangulated categories

Abstract

In this talk we systematically exploit the idea of “far-away-orthogonality” to discuss a plethora of subcategories of compactly generated triangulated categories which are intrinsically determined, and the relations between them. We will focus on the particular case of the special case of a triangulated category generated by a compact silting object. This is based on joint work with P. Kostas and C. Psaroudakis.
