Using the LP algebraic toolkit, Conway’s original topograph is rethought of as a cluster construction, paving the way for a wider topography based on mutation. As an application, the reduction algorithm for quadratic forms is endowed with the Laurent phenomenon. En passant, the rattlesnake is defined so to complete the bijection between snake graphs and rationals to the whole of Q.

Faithful highest weight perverse sheaves
A heart of a bounded t-structure on a triangulated category is called faithful if there exists a realisation functor from the bounded derived category of the heart to the ambient triangulated category that is an equivalence.
