The Ziegler spectrum of abelian and triangulated categories

Supervisor: Rosanna Laking

Description

The Ziegler spectrum is a topological space encoding important structural properties of certain abelian or triangulated categories.  The spectrum can be defined in a range of different ways. The following is a non-exhaustive list of perspectives that one can take on this topic: first order logic and positive primitive formule; localisation theory of Grothendieck categories; exact structures in the sense of Quillen; and relative homological algebra.
