Categories from tilings of surfaces

Supervisor: Anna Barbieri

Description

Given a triangulation or a tiling of a marked bordered Riemann surface, there are ways of constructing quivers and categories of modules. Edges of the triangulations, and the combinatoric of changing the triangulation, are related with indecomposable objects, torsion theories of the category, and other homological data, and there are relevant correspondences of group actions.
