Localisation in Grothendieck categories
Supervisor: Lidia Angeleri Hügel
Description
Grothendieck categories occur in many different contexts, ranging from algebraic geometry to algebra and mathematical logic. They represent a natural extension of module categories, sharing many fundamental features with them, and they provide an abstract framework to develop a theory of localization which generalizes classical constructions from commutative algebra.
